Although some companies may claim an extreme brain boost at an extreme price, the verdict is still out on if the products offer a real boost to brain performance apart from the placebo effect. In the first 2 parts of the motivation series, we discussed a theory of motivation called the Hierarchy of Needs by Abraham Maslow. The theory focuses on how our motivations are based on needs from basic survival to the need to be accepted by others and more. We also looked at 2 types of motivation: intrinsic and extrinsic motivators (internal/external) and how we can discover what drives us.
Now that we have a basic understanding of motivation, we will look into how we can boost our motivation when we feel our motivation taking a dip.
