Waking up was not too bad, tried to eat a light dinner. After the alarm went off, I stayed up by surfing the web till my brain woke up. Slept last night around 11pm. Slight headache in the early morning (9-10am) which is extremely rare for me.
Woke up quite late today.
Could not sleep early (~12:30am) because I made all the mistakes to keep me from sleeping. Ate late, a lot of pasta before bed. Telephone call right before bed.
Back to the drawing board.
Didn’t sleep till 11pm last night, but waking up wasn’t too difficult. Alarm went off at 5:00 am, and I felt like sleeping in, but after checking email, and keeping my mind running, I felt that getting up was better than to stay in bed.
The weekend is here, I’ll try getting some good rest in, to start week 3 strong.
Waking up today was much easier than past days.
Probably the easiest of all the previous days. The alarm went off at 5 and I felt like I was going back to sleep, but I kept my mind awake while waiting for my body to wake up.
What I mean by saying ‘keeping my mind awake’ is that I kept my mind thinking about things rather than having it drift away. I also checked email which helped me keep my mind on things other than sleep.
The night before, I had dinner around 6:30 pm and didn’t have anything else which may also have contributed to the ease of rising early.
Tomorrow is Friday, I’d love to finish strong this week!
Waking up today was also very difficult. 5:00 am had turned into 6:15 am.
I am now able to get up before 6:30am without much problem. Still having problems sleeping before 11pm. Slept around 11:15pm last night, which does not aid in waking up early.
Other contributing factors to difficulty in waking up: Went to the gym till 9:30pm and had a piece of chicken with salsa right before getting ready for bed, probably a bad idea.
Goal was to sleep at 10pm the night before. I was able to get into bed at 10, but not able to sleep.
Having the window open, there was still a lot of noise from cars/people up and about. Was able to go to sleep around 11.
Had dinner around 9:30, which may have contributed to not being able to sleep. Dinner was very light, mostly vegetables.
Waking up was extremely difficult, groggy and heavy. Ended up sleeping in for another hour after the alarm went off.
Maybe due to rest of the weekend, it was fairly easy to get up this morning. After the alarm rang, I stayed in bed for about 10min checking email, etc. It would be better to get out of bed as soon as the alarm goes off to ward off sleep. Went for a run around 6:00 am.
It’s Friday, and all I got was another 7:30 am.
It’s only been the first week, and I already feel that waking up early is quite the task. Although I’ve improved about 30 min from when I first started, I was expecting a little more. Not a big surprise considering I’ve never been able to wake up early.
Ok, the weekend is coming, time to rest up and start strong on Monday.
I woke up at 7:30 am. I’m not seeing improvement.
Couldn’t sleep at all the night before. Mind still racing at 12am. Alarm went off at 5:00 am, but there was no way I was able to get up. Slept in and feel better today. Will go to the gym early tonight and will attempt at 5:00 am again tomorrow.
I was aiming for 5:00 am, but woke up at 6:15 am.
It was slightly more difficult to wake up than yesterday. Because my body is used to sleeping close to 1:00 am, I was not able to sleep last night till past 12:30am. Since I woke up at 6:15 am, I hope that I’ll be tired by the time ~11:00 pm hits.
